Paper Kite Yoga Membership Terms & Conditions

Paper Kite Yoga offers guidance rather than medical, therapeutic or counselling services. Participants are encouraged to listen to their own bodies and make choices that feel appropriate for their individual needs.

Membership Agreement

By purchasing a Paper Kite Yoga membership, you agree to the following terms and conditions.

Membership Fees

Membership fees are payable monthly through the payment method selected at sign-up.

Payments will be collected automatically on the agreed billing date each month.

Membership fees are non-refundable except where required by law.

Paper Kite Yoga reserves the right to amend membership fees with at least 30 days' notice to members.

Attendance

Membership allows attendance at eligible classes offered by Paper Kite Yoga during the active membership period.

Class spaces are subject to availability and advance-booking may be required.

Membership is personal to the named member and cannot be shared or transferred to another individual.

Cancellation by Members

Membership may be cancelled at any time by providing at least 30 days' notice before the next payment date.

Notice of cancellation must be provided in writing by email.

Membership remains active until the end of the paid billing period.

No refunds will be provided for unused classes.

Cancellation by Paper Kite Yoga

Paper Kite Yoga reserves the right to cancel or suspend a membership if:

  • Membership fees remain unpaid.

  • A member behaves in a manner that is disruptive, abusive or unsafe.

  • Continued participation may present a risk to the member or others.

Where possible, reasonable notice will be given.

Class Changes

Class schedules, teachers, venues and formats may occasionally change.

Paper Kite Yoga will make reasonable efforts to give notice of any significant changes.

No refund will be due for occasional timetable changes.

Liability

Participation in yoga classes is undertaken at the member's own risk.

Paper Kite Yoga will not be liable for any injury, loss or damage except where caused by negligence or where liability cannot legally be excluded.

Acceptance

By purchasing a membership, you confirm that you have read and understood these Terms and Conditions.

Health and Wellbeing

Yoga involves physical movement and individual responsibility.

By attending classes provided by Paper Kite Yoga, you confirm that:

  • You are participating voluntarily.

  • You believe yourself to be physically capable of taking part.

  • You will practise within your own limits.

  • You will stop any movement that causes pain, dizziness or discomfort.

  • You will inform the teacher of any medical condition, injury, pregnancy or change in health that may affect participation.

Medical Advice

Yoga classes are not a substitute for medical advice, diagnosis or treatment.

If you have concerns about your health, you should seek advice from a qualified healthcare professional before participating.

Pregnancy

Pregnant participants should inform the teacher before attending classes and ensure they have received appropriate medical clearance where necessary.

Personal Responsibility

You accept responsibility for monitoring your own wellbeing throughout classes and choosing whether to participate in any posture, exercise or relaxation practice offered.

  • Manage bookings and memberships

  • Respond to enquiries

  • Ensure safe participation in classes

Storage of Information

Personal information is stored securely and only accessible where necessary for business operations.

Information will not be sold or shared with third parties except where legally required or where necessary to deliver services such as payment processing and booking systems.

Your Rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Access your personal data

  • Request correction of inaccurate data

  • Request deletion of your data where appropriate

  • Withdraw consent where consent is relied upon

Refund Policy

Memberships

Monthly membership payments are non-refundable once collected.

Unused classes cannot be exchanged for cash or future credits unless required by law.

Class Blocks

Class blocks are non-refundable and must be used within the stated validity period.

Exceptions may be considered at the discretion of Paper Kite Yoga in cases of significant illness, injury or exceptional circumstances.

Single Class Bookings

Single class bookings are non-refundable.

If you are unable to attend a class, please provide as much notice as possible.

Where notice is given at least 24 hours before the scheduled class, Paper Kite Yoga may, at its discretion, offer a transfer to another available class or provide a class credit.

Unfortunately, refunds cannot be provided for missed classes, late cancellations, or non-attendance.

If Paper Kite Yoga cancels a class, you will be offered either:

  • A full refund, or

  • A transfer to an alternative class.

Workshops and Special Events

Cancellations made:

  • More than 14 days before the event: full refund.

  • 7 to 14 days before the event: 50% refund.

  • Less than 7 days before the event: no refund.

If the event is cancelled by Paper Kite Yoga, a full refund or alternative booking option will be offered.

Missed Classes

No refunds or credits are available for missed classes.
