Menopause can be a dark, lonely and confusing place at times, perhaps a lot of the time. Un-grounded with the vata qualities of irregularity, movement and change. Navigating this phase of life requires balancing energy, yin and yang. Our lives at this stage are often very busy yang energy, so more yin energy is required to become more gounded and balanced. Rest, allowing dark to flow through, discovering our strength, rediscovering our selves, forming deep roots for our 2nd spring - which may not look like the first! We think we want ro go back to who we were, but nature never moves backwards only forward in cyclical motion. Second spring is more powerul, more radiant and wise. Think wisdom of the crone, beauty becomes something deeper and richer.
I have always been drawn to the beauty of lichen, delicate details but that play a big role in the ecosystem, much like the crone!
'Lichens may be small, but they often have large roles to play in their ecosystems: soil stabilisation, water and nutrient capture and cycling'
Beautiful, colourful and intricate, our energy and wisdom far greater than a breif, single bloom of a rose.
